This quote, from the Disney animated feature, Ratatouille, is applicable to any field that involves artistic creativity, particularly writing. Most writers aren’t born with writing talent, but develop a strong proclivity for the craft at an early age. Regardless of the chosen venue for pursuing their literary ambitions (from writing in a corporate setting to freelance writing), skilled writers gravitate unconsciously to any available writing opportunities.

At an early age, Steve began to show his literary stripes, writing short stories instead of doing homework. During grammar school years, typing classes became fertile writing ground. Instead of using the school-supplied, boring and mundane text for words-per-minute challenges, Steve tapped out short stories using his own ideas and creative writing. Post college, he transitioned into the workforce, and looked for any opportunity to exercise his literary muscle. With more than 16 years of experience in the financial services industry covering front, middle and back office roles, and prolific writing and marketing skills, Steve has a unique ability to understand industry jargon and translate it into compelling content that is meaningful and valuable to a wide audience.

In 2007, while working in the financial services industry, Steve launched Sullivan Copywriting to offer businesses of all sizes professional writing and marketing services. Showing diverse writing and marketing expertise, Steve has produced content for companies across a wide range of industries – including financial services, management consulting, office supply, professional staffing and IT services firms.
